Summary: This little basement apartment suited my needs perfectly. I needed to be close to Washington, which is 20-30 minutes away by car depending on the traffic. It's not close to a metro stop, but it's perfect if you have a car. It is located in a safe Virginia suburb (Annandale) and has a free parking spot out front, washer and dryer, microwave and toaster oven, TV and WiFi. It was impressively clean when I arrived, and if you stay for a while like I did, you can have it cleaned again for a modest price.It was a great shelter from the heat of the summer, and a dehumidifier helped keep it nice and cool. I found the hosts to be very helpful whenever I had questions. I would definitely recommend it as an affordable and cozy place for an individual or a couple.
